How Discord server boosting works.
Boosts are Discord's own upgrade system: members contribute boosts, the server crosses a threshold, and Discord unlocks a tier of features. Here is exactly what each tier costs in boosts and what it gives you.
What a boost actually is
A boost is a slot attached to your server, not a setting you toggle. Each one is contributed by a Discord account, and your server's level is decided purely by how many boosts it holds at that moment. Cross a threshold and the perks switch on immediately; drop below it and they switch off again.
That last part is why boost count matters more than it first appears. A server sitting on exactly 14 boosts is one expiry away from losing Level 3 — every animated banner, the vanity URL, the 250 emoji slots. Buying a little headroom is the difference between holding a level and defending it every month.
The three levels
| Level | Boosts needed | Headline perks |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | 2 | 100 emoji slots of each type, up from 50 · 128 kbps audio bitrate in voice channels · 720p 60fps Go Live streaming · Animated server icon and a custom invite background |
| Level 2 | 7 | 150 emoji slots of each type · 256 kbps audio bitrate · 1080p 60fps Go Live streaming · Server banner, custom role icons and 30 sticker slots |
| Level 3 | 14 | 250 emoji slots of each type · 384 kbps audio bitrate · Vanity invite URL — a custom discord.gg link · Animated server banner and 60 sticker slots |
Discord has also unbundled a few perks from the level ladder — Enhanced Role Styles and Server Tags unlock at 3 boosts regardless of level. Spare boosts above a threshold are not wasted; they go toward these.
What each level unlocks
How long do boosts last?
A boost lasts for as long as it is paid for. Boosting through Discord directly is a recurring per-boost subscription — it renews monthly until cancelled, and the level holds only while every boost keeps renewing.
A package from us works the other way round: you pay once for a fixed term, one month or three, and nothing renews. At the end of the term the boosts lapse and your server returns to whatever level its remaining boosts support. There is no subscription to cancel and no card left on file.
Choosing a package
Match the boost count to the level you want, then decide how much headroom is worth paying for. For most servers that means:
Every package is listed with its full perk set on the products page, and the Level 3 pick starts at $6.09.
Know which level you want?
Pick the matching package and it lands on your server in about a minute.
